Adding your own entry to the database
If you are a training provider, you can add your
details to the training database through this website or by sending
your details to INVOLVE in hard copy. Firstly however, you need
to meet the following criteria. (These are
under review during the pilot phase).
Criteria
What the training is about:
- The training should be about public involvement in research and/or helpful
to effective and empowering public involvement in research.
Who the training is for:
- The training should be for either researchers, research commissioners, research managers, research organisations or patients, service users, members of the public and their organisations or both.
- Any training which is open to the public, service users, and patients should be designed, delivered and priced in a way that is accessible to
them.
- Any training specifically for
research staff, or professionals should either be developed and designed in consultation with people who use services, or directly involves,
or is by them.
What the trainers should have:
- a track
record in training in this or in a closely related area.
- an ethical/values/or mission statement.
- a commitment to their own ongoing learning
and personal development
- appropriate public/professional liability insurance cover
If your training meets these criteria you are welcome to submit your details for the database by online form or in hard copy from a printed form. Before we can publish your details for the first time, we will need written evidence that you meet the above criteria, and this must be sent to INVOLVE separately. Please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any queries.

are approved for publishing on the database, the Code
