Examples Projects

INVOLVE has recently commissioned two new projects to help us identify examples of public involvement in research. One project is gathering examples of user and carer involvement in social care research and is being carried out by the University of Bristol. Another is gathering examples of user-controlled research and is being carried out by a collaboration of Shaping Our Lives, the Social Perspectives Network, and Brunel University.

Examples of active service user and carer involvement in social care research

This work is looking to identify projects that are either ongoing or that have been completed since 1 January 2007. If you have been part of any relevant projects please do complete the survey below.

 Examples of user controlled research

This project wants to find out about all user-controlled research projects that have been completed since 2002, especially current projects and those completed within the last year.

INVOLVE wants to gather examples in these two areas to help us build and develop our knowledge. It will also help us map out what the extent of activity is in these areas, help further populate the INVOLVE database of research projects, and form a basis for later in-depth study.

Examples that meet the criteria will be added to the INVOLVE online database. If you also know of others who have been involved in such projects, please let them know.
