Women’s Independent Alcohol Support (WIAS)

Update your information

A service user  controlled organisation engaged in research and practice, employing a social perspective to women’s alcohol use and its treatment

Public involvement in research

We involve other members of the public, some service users and some not, in carrying out research and reporting back on what sort of additional or alternative help is needed by women who see themselves as having alcohol issues. We will soon be re-starting our support line and website forum, and plan to operate service user controlled support groups in different parts of the country, initially in Bristol.

Our website and phoneline will be accessible to women across the country.

Our groups will initially focus on Bristol, Devon and Cornwall.
