invoNET Terms & Conditions of Membership

By completing and submitting this membership form you are agreeing to the following terms and conditions:

  • The information you provide will be used by the invoNET Administrator to keep you informed of the work of invoNET or other relevant information – by submitting this membership form you are agreeing to receive regular (monthly) invoNET news by e-mail unless you have opted out using the tick box option on the membership form.
  • The contact details you provide will be made available to other invoNET members to facilitate networking, by submitting this membership form you are agreeing for this information to be accessible in the members area of the invoNET website and to be contactable by other members.
  • In completing the membership form you are asked to provide a summary of your research interests and activity – this information will be automatically transferred into a member profile. By submitting this membership form you are agreeing to share your profile with other members in the members area of the invoNET website.
  • Your name and organisation (where applicable) only will be listed in the publicly accessible area of the invoNET website, by submitting this membership form you are agreeing to this unless you have opted out using the tick box option on the membership form.
  • The information you provide will be held by INVOLVE and Worthing and Southlands Hospitals NHS Trust. We comply with the Data protection Act 1998. The information you provide will be held securely in accordance with our internal security policies and will not be disclosed to a third party without your permission. You may view and edit the information we hold about you at anytime using your password.
  • invoNET receives support from the Department of Health R&D Directorate (DH R&D), and we are therefore required to report invoNET activities and developments to DH R&D annually. This annual report includes information on the extent and nature of research activities in this field. For the purposes of this report, once a year invoNET members will be asked to provide brief details of relevant research activities they have undertaken. As a guide, the information required usually includes: titles of active studies, external funding awarded to those studies, and research outputs from those studies (e.g. peer reviewed journal publications).

    This only applies to researchers, working for an organisation, who have been carrying out research projects over the previous year. Requests for information will only be sent to members indicating in their
    membership details that they are actively researching in this area.

  • Membership will be reviewed annually in order to ensure that the focus of the network is maintained.
  • At no time may membership of invoNET and network contacts be used for commercial purposes.
  • Communication between members should be respectful at all times.
  • Membership will be withdrawn if a member is found to be using invoNET resources/contacts inappropriately.
  • You can end your invoNET membership at anytime by contacting the invoNET Administrator invonet.org.uk, the Administrator will acknowledge your request and remove your details from the membership database within ten working days of receipt of your request.
