Title: Communication and Informal Helping in Early Stage Dementia

Source of funding:
Aspects undertaken by Jenny Griggs, Lucie Robinson and Lis Mason as part of their doctoral training in clinical psychology.

Aims: 1. Explore how couples, where one partner is developing dementia, communicate with each other about this. 2. To explore the impact on couple relationships of one partner receiving a dementia diagnosis. 3. To investigate the processes of support and informal helping with early-stage dementia support groups.
