Public involvement in research

We offer:

  • advice on how to find individuals and groups to undertake patient and public involvement (PPI)
  • advice on levels of involvement and costing PPI
  • facilitation for PPI planning meetings, where researchers and PPI representations can discuss study details and explore key issues such as recruitment and retention into studies
  • support and facilitation for activities to engage patients and members of the public in research design
  • review of  PPI in bids prior to submission from an independent panel of peer reviewers. We can comment on the clarity of patient information sheets, consent forms and lay summaries.
  • a regular e-bulletin with latest PPI news and opportunities to get involved.
