Abstract: Patients and the public offer a unique voice to service development, identifying required improvements and inefficiencies first hand as experts by experience. One way to engage this valuable resource is to set up a patient and public involvement (PPI) panel to help drive effective quality improvement projects. PPI means ongoing, strategic-level partnership-working throughout project life cycles, and, ultimately, fully patient-led activity
