HCAI Service User Research Forum (SURF)
Description
The Service User Research Forum is a group of lay individuals who are interested in planning and carrying out research into Healthcare Associated Infections and Antimicrobial Resistance. The group is based at the University of West London.
Public involvement in research
SURF members undertake a variety of research activities, including: Topic identification and prioritisation; reviewing research proposals, working with research teams to undertake primary research (developing and testing data collection tools, collecting data, analysing data), helping to write recommendations, developing and implementing dissemination strategies; sitting on steering and advisory groups; assisting with systematic reviews and guideline development.
