Description

West Anglia Comprehensive Local Research Network is part of the National Institute for Health Research Clinical Research Network.

The Clinical Research Network provides researchers with the practical support they need to make clinical studies happen in the NHS, so that more research takes place across England, and more patients can take part.

Public involvement in research

West Anglia CLRN also supports patient and public involvement activities, from working with “Patient Ambassadors” who help fly the flag for research at our events, to helping patients get involved in clinical research to providing free training workshops for people who’d like to find out more about what it means to take part in research.

These workshops have been very popular and we are delighted to offer members of the public another opportunity to take part in them.

Running from September to November 2013 in Cambridge, this series of five workshops will help patients, carers and representatives of patients’ groups get to grips with some of the most important aspects of research, including research methods, speaking to researchers with confidence and exploring different methods of community involvement in research.

The workshops are free to attend and are supported by our research partners in the region.
