2006 Conference

Involving older people in research on how older people cope with loneliness and isolation.

Myself Joan Brogden and co-presenter Elaine Jones are members of a team of older people who have joined together to research into how older people cope with the problem of loneliness and isolation.

We called the project "HELLO" as this is the word most used in greeting each other.

Elaine and myself will describe how we learned to do the necessary tasks for this project.

We will describe our hopes and fears and also our feelings as we made this project come alive.

We will talk about the stages that we have completed and what is still to be done and then where we hope to go with this project.

Finally we will explain why we have titled this talk "why tell us"
