Title: Lay Assessors - Assessment of quality standards

Aims: To achieve an independent assessment of specified quality standards in Community Care teams (Adult services) carried out by pairs of lay assessors.

Research project description: Lay people (service users or carers) are recruited and trained to identify specified quality standards through interviews with service users and staff, observation and records' examination. Ratings of compliance are made and fed back to the Community Care Teams.
