Aims: To evaluate the usefulness of medication education for patients on an intensive care ward.

Validated instruments eg Outcome measures

Research project description: Comparison design with groups matched for age, diagnosis, chronicity and local CMHT. Outcomes collected at baseline, post education and two weeks later.

Examples of ways the public have made a difference to the research project: Consumer involvement has changed the type of analysis, instruments for measuring outcomes and interpretation of the data.

Details of publications or reports resulting from the research: Results of the controlled trial ( currently in preparation). The service user will write about the research issues that have arisen from the collaboration. ( currently in preparation)
