2012 Conference

Abstract: The presenters will introduce their involvement with PPI in research and innovation and the current activities supported by Lincolnshire Partnership NHS Foundation Trust (LPFT). In doing so, they will describe their innovative approach to ‘involvement’ and how they, working in collaboration, facilitate PPI across a rural, geographically dispersed, county-wide population. The presentation will be designed to be informative and engaging to Healthcare Professionals, Service Users, Carers and members of the public.

Regan ~ Michael

Michael Regan is a Service User. He followed a career in the army with a management role in retail, in export sales and consultancy travelling the globe in fulfilling contracts for a number of organisations, including The United Nations. His final role was as a manager with a multinational corporation engaged in heavy industry and transportation. Currently he is Chair of Lincolnshire Partnership NHS Foundation Trusts PPI Research and Innovation group based in Lincolnshire.

Tetley ~ Dianne

Dianne Tetley is Assistant Director of Research and Effectiveness at Lincolnshire Partnership NHS Foundation Trust. She is an innovator and implementer of research and quality improvement initiatives and has been involved in developing and facilitating PPI in research and innovation both locally and regionally. Dianne is also a Service User and is currently undertaking Service User led research within the Academic Unit of Psychiatry and Behavioural Sciences, Leeds University School of Medicine and Health.
